BDO Limited is one of the largest independent firms of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers in Guernsey, providing a mix of traditional accounting services and a broad range of business, taxation and accounting systems advice.

In Guernsey, audit and accountancy services are provided by BDO Limited, a firm which can trace its history in the island back over 100 years. The firm’s five directors have substantial knowledge of the local business market and finance sector gained from a collective total of over 100 years’ experience within accountancy practices in the island. The firm employs over forty staff in Guernsey, two thirds of whom are qualified accountants.


This knowledge and experience enables BDO Limited to provide a comprehensive service to businesses of all sizes and structures, from self-employed sole traders, through family businesses, to some of the largest trading companies and groups in the island. The firm also caters to the finance industry, with an already substantial and growing portfolio of captive insurance, fiduciary and fund engagements.

The client portfolio includes a broad mix of companies, limited partnerships, trusts and PCC’s, incorporated in a variety of jurisdictions including The Bailiwick of Guernsey, Jersey, UK, Cayman Islands, BVI & elsewhere. In the finance sector, BDO Limited provides audit and assurance services to a number of funds and fund management companies, and the firm has also been retained to provide advisory services to the Guernsey fund management arm of one of the largest investment banks in the island.

BDO Limited is auditor to a number of investment fund vehicles, including over 30 entities which are listed on a variety of exchanges including the London Stock Exchange (Full), AIM, The Channel Island Stock Exchange, Cayman Islands Stock Exchange, and Dublin. These vehicles invest in a broad range of opportunities including property (UK, Europe and the Far East), equities, bonds, derivatives, hedge funds, private equity, commodities, and even fine wine.
