The BDO offices in Guernsey can ultimately be trace their heritage back to 1900 when an English firm, G.N. Read, Son & Cocke, expanded to create a local branch located at 19 Smith Street, St Peter Port, Guernsey.
The companies evolved over the last century into The Reads Group, of which the majority shareholding in the ‘offshore’ side of the business was sold to Banque Generale de Luxembourg in 1998. The ‘local’ side of the business became what is now BDO Limited and in 2008 the company made a landmark move to its current premises, Place du Pre, Rue du Pre, thus demonstrating its commitment to the continuing growth and success of both the firm and the island as a whole.
The ‘offshore’ side of the business, now called BDO Tax Limited, moved to its premises of Martello Court, Admiral Park and works alongside its associated company of Intertrust Guernsey. BDO Tax Limited is a truly international company, able to offer not only taxation services but also, in association with the Intertrust Group in Guernsey, trust & corporate and fund administration services.
Both BDO Limited and BDO Tax Limited continue to grow in strength whilst retaining their commitment and loyalty to their heritage and to the island of Guernsey.
