Ben James

Ben began his professional career in banking in 2011 and completed his Chartered Banker exams prior to joining BDO in 2020. He has since completed his ACA qualification to become a Chartered Accountant.

Ben has spent a significant portion of his career as a relationship manager and has obtained experience in commercial lending, IT projects, business services, business restructuring and audit. His experience is well suited to assisting clients with business solutions in his role as an advisory consultant, where he has worked on a variety of bespoke engagements.

He enjoys working with people and helping others achieve their goals, whether those be business related or otherwise. In addition to his role, Ben has conducted presentations for trainees and sixth form school students with an aim to assist with their career choices.

Born in Guernsey, Ben grew up as an islander until leaving for the University of Reading where he obtained a degree in Philosophy. Following his degree, he moved back to the Island where he now enjoys numerous sporting and social activities including 6-a-side football and membership at the Royal Guernsey Golf Club.
