You’ll be working in our busy Tax Department within a team of sixteen staff up to Tax Director. The role requires a relevant accounting or tax professional qualification and good knowledge of either Guernsey or UK taxation, ideally both. You’ll have at least 5 years-experience of working in tax.
This role will be responsible for a portfolio of clients, as well as being involved in special assignments. You’ll participate in the business development of existing clients as well as developing a specialist field of technical and/or sector knowledge and expertise.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Researching and interpreting changes in relevant tax legislation in both Guernsey and the UK
Meeting with clients and collating information
Preparing and submitting client tax returns including dealing with matters relating to economic substance
Liaising and negotiating with the Guernsey Revenue Service and HM Revenue & Customs on behalf of clients
Preparing detailed computations to calculate tax liabilities and advising clients on appropriate tax strategies
Undertaking research for, and drafting, miscellaneous advice to clients, particularly on cross-border matters
Willingness to be involved with networking and other business development opportunities
Assisting with the financial management of portfolio of clients
Willingness to be open and take on tasks and challenges
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND BEHAVIOURS
Minimum of at least CAT/AAT Qualified or overseas equivalent
Good Guernsey Tax Knowledge or a willingness to learn
Strong cross boarder tax knowledge
Excellent business report writing skills
