This topic will be presented by James Kelsch, Resolution IT and will be focused around how the GFSC cyber rules affect NEDs, with an emphasis on the practical guidance for securing corporate data on personal devices. The presentation will also touch on who is responsible for an organisation’s Information Security, what NED’s should know, whether the Board are asking the right questions, and whether an organisation has the right people and structures in place to aid decision making in terms of security. Lastly, James will speak about why information and cyber security is the responsibility of the board, not just the IT department. Other topics of interest include cyber hygiene, data privacy, social engineering, passwords, and authentication.

James Kelsh is the Director of Information Security at Resolution IT. James has worked within the IT industry for 20 years, with over a decade spent focusing on the Information Security sphere. He has headed up Resolution IT’s security team since its inception 5 years ago, and has played a crucial role in developing this service area.
With an MSc in IT with Information Security, CISSP and SSCP certifications, James helps many companies reach a variety of accredited cyber security certifications. James also sits in a large number of local company board meetings to deliver quarterly security reports , as well as advising and training companies on the importance of information security.
