The awards spotlight achievements that go beyond the traditional recognition such as pay and promotions and specifically recognise great mindset, behaviours and contributions, with categories that remain relevant year on year.
As part of the initiative, all colleagues can nominate and vote for coworkers whom they feel bring life to the values BDO champions every day.
Caroline Shakerley HR Director, said “the awards are a key part of how the firm continues to deepen its people-first culture.”
“We’ve always believed that great client outcomes start with great teams,” she said. “The awards are structured to celebrate performance in ways that strengthen collaboration and high levels of client service. Categories cover areas such as teamwork, innovation, continuous improvement and making an impact to the overall firm, reflecting the breadth of contribution across the firm.”
These awards align with BDO’s Global vision and foundational pillar to build a thriving global team. By embedding appreciation into everyday practice, BDO aims to strengthen its values and recognise contributions that make a real difference.
“It is inspiring to see and heartwarming to hear why individuals are nominated as deserving. Through this process we hope to provide a simple ‘thank you’ and ensure the achievement we’re proud of are visible to all.”
