Blessing Idem

Blessing is Assistant Tax Manager at BDO Guernsey, bringing over a decade of experience in tax advisory and compliance across consultancy and in-house roles. Her career began in 2014 as a tax assistant in Nigeria, where she developed a strong foundation in corporate tax while earning her qualifications as both a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor. 

Before joining BDO, she worked at a multinational telecommunications group, where she managed the tax affairs of the Nigerian subsidiary, including expatriate payroll taxes and transfer pricing compliance. Her earlier consultancy experience included leading tax engagements for clients in the banking, insurance, and investment management sectors. 

At BDO, Blessing supports a diverse portfolio of local and international clients, ensuring compliance with Guernsey and UK tax regulations. She is known for delivering practical, tailored tax advice and building strong client relationships through her proactive and responsive approach. She also provides tax support to private individuals relocating to or residing in Guernsey. 

Clients value her for her reliability, attention to detail, and ability to simplify complex tax matters. In addition to her client work, she is passionate about mentoring and coaching team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
