Mark Spencer - Accounting and Corporate Reporting Advisory Leader, BDO London 

Mark leads the Financial Services’ Accounting Advisory team at BDO. He specialises in advising financial institutions on a broad range of accounting change programmes, including IFRS 9, IFRS 17, FRS 102, structuring of transactions and operations, classification and measurement of financial instruments, impairment and hedge accounting.

He has significant experience of providing advisory and assurance services to retail and commercial banks, providers of alternative finance, securitisation vehicles, broker dealers, treasury functions, insurers, asset managers and alternative investment houses in Europe, the Americas and AsiaPac.

Jonathan Kemp - Partner, BWCI Guernsey 

Jonathan is a Partner in the Insurance Consultancy Team and is a director of BWCI Insurance Management Ltd and BWCI Insurance Broking Ltd.

He specialises in providing actuarial and consultancy services to captive insurance companies and life assurance companies, and calculation agent services in support of longevity swaps. This includes advising EU based clients (in Gibraltar, Malta and the UK) on compliance with Solvency ll and on changes to international accounting standards. Jonathan joined BWCI in 2019 after more than twenty years in financial services, including periods working as an insurance consultant and as chief actuary to insurance companies in both Malta and Bahrain. He qualified as a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in 2000. Jonathan became a Partner of the BWCI Group in 2020.
